Used high-performance computing centers in the U.S. (TeraGrid) and Japan (RICC at RIKEN) to investigate the wave function and energetic properties of various molecular, biological, and semiconductor systems from first-principles (Bash, Gaussian, LAMMPS, MATLAB).
- Extracted, transformed, and loaded (ETL) solid state and molecular structure data from ChemSpider, Molecular Modeling database, Crystal Lattice Structures database, and other scientific molecular and solid-state structural databases.
- Calculated the location and lattice relaxation of transition metal ion impurities in silicon using clustering techniques to approximate bulk properties.
- Determined the energy difference between diamagnetic and paramagnetic oxyhemoglobin in support of MuSR experimental data.
- Studied the binding interaction energy between complementary base pairs in DNA. Studied binding energy and bond distances of solid nucleobases.
